SLEIPNIR

Paul 'Darklord' Clark began his journey into Viking Metal in the early 90s with his band "Cult Of Frey". After a demo album "Sons Of Ing" the band split in 1995, the same year he met with Pete "Tossell" Gordon. A love of extreme metal and real ale united them in a strong friendship. In 2000 they formed a band called "Mjollnir". However due to other commitments nothing came of this other than a few song titles and lyrics and the idea of the band came to an end.

In 2006 they decided to give it another go and picked the name "SLEIPNIR" for this project. After a couple of early tracks, the music for "Sons Of The Northern Land" came next which led to the style of music on the album. This was to try to be as original as possible, with the songs containing catchy memorable melodies, real choirs and epic choruses. And "Bloodbrothers" was born. On all the songs the music was recorded first including 24 tracks of choirs, followed by the track name and lyrics. The album was self-released on CD-R in 2008. In 2009 a deal was struck with the elite label Gardarika Musikk and "Bloodbrothers" will receive an official release in 2010.

The follow up album "Oaths Sworn In Blood And Mead" nears completion and continues and advances SLEIPNIR's journey into the world of Epic Viking Metal.

ALVHEIM

ALVHEIM (Sochi city, Russland) originates in 2005. On that spring time formed the band, which consisted of: Vetos - vocals, Alvar - guitars, Tomas - drums. And began the work on composing of the first songs and searching of their own style and sound. On the same time the name ALVHEIM was borned. Alvar: "The name Alvheim was taken from the ancient scandinavian mythology. ALVHEIM means "the land of elves". It put down good in our music and lyrics because we played old-school norwegian Black Metal." But after 2 months the band was miscarryed and it disintegrated because of differentiated priorityes in music of the each participant of band.

On the end of 2007 ALVHEIM reborns under the command of Alvar and acquires status of one man band project. Alvar: "The decision to continue personal music activity in such style as Black Metal wasn't casual. Disintegration of band not strongly influenced on music but took place great variations in lyrics. I began to write lyrics on Norwegian in which traces the pagan subjects and an epoch of Vikings." There were an intensive works on composing of the new material during half-year and in the middle of summer 2008 the first EP called "I Et Fjort Fortid" (nor. - "In Far Past") was recorded. Alvar: "This EP is a cold Scandinavian old school Black Metal which, unfortunately, remains a little now but fans of such music always were, is and will be.

In 2009 the material of it EP has been mastered and released on label GARDARIKA Musikk.
